Title: Technical Support Specialist - IT Service Desk

Summary:
Provide customer service for Government Client with printer consumables and other IT services.
Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities consist of but are not limited to the following:
- Basic A/V Telecommunications experience a plus.
- Conduct asset recovery activities and provide status reports.
- Prepare special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries
- Develop SOPs and instructions as directed.
- Research and solve issues in response to customer reported incidents and problems related to IT issues.
- Conduct basic IT troubleshooting.
- Manage the printer consumables program, including: replacing consumables, maintaining a consumables inventory, and providing printer consumable ordering information based on inventory and usage metrics.
- Customer service, Printer support, minor trouble shooting & repair on Xerox, HP, Lexmark printers.
- Change out toner and user serviceable parts, works most of the time independently.
- Diagnose/troubleshoot problems and make minor repair of printers, computers, and various other IT equipment.
- Interact with customers on a day-to-day basis regarding various technology needs
- Quickly identify problems, form solutions, and execute step-by-step troubleshooting procedures
- Provide monthly reports on inventory and usage metrics.
- Inventory management receiving shipments, restocking, and able to lift 70 lbs.
- Perform a variety of property disposal, control and advisory activities such as advising on the destruction, demilitarization or abandonment of property; ensuring proper handling, storage and accountability of excess or surplus property to prevent damage, loss, or personal injury.
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism, with a commitment to customer service.
- Subcontractor is not excluded from providing labor in support of other Task Areas as required, if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the Program.
- Must perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years IT experience is desired
Basic Qualifications:
- The ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance is required
- CompTIA A , Network , and/or Security certification is desired
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- IT experience is highly desired. Must have extensive experience with MS Office (Excel, Access) and computer competences.
- Essential job skills are technical abilities and the ability to identify various computer components.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and prioritize workflow as needed while maintaining communications with other support personnel and supervisor.
