Do you have a strong background in employee benefits and either have experience managing or are ready to manage a team of benefits specialists? S&ME is seeking a full-time Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources team in Raleigh, North Carolina.
What You Will Do:
As the Benefits Manager, you join a fun and engaging Human Resources team supporting our 1,100 employee-owned firm and will oversee and manage our comprehensive employee benefits program. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall well-being and job satisfaction of our employees by designing, implementing, and managing competitive and effective benefit plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong level of organizational and prioritization skills, be able to gather relevant information systematically, provide clear direction, and hold others accountable to ensure objectives are met.
- Collaborate with our Chief People Officer and senior leaders to design and implement competitive and cost-effective benefit programs that align with company strategic objectives
- Oversee vendor relationships, evaluate benefits, select administrators, negotiate contracts, and provide renewal recommendations.
- Lead and supervise a team of benefits staff, and support our employees with benefit-related questions
- Develop and implement communication strategies to educate employees on all our benefits and open enrollment process
- Lead and conduct information sessions and workshops to address employee questions and concerns
- Stay updated on industry trends and informed about laws and regulations pertaining to employee benefits to ensure the company's adherence to these requirements.
- Manage all Worker's Compensation, FMLA, Leave of Absence, ADA accommodations, and complex claims assuring compliance with state and federal laws.
Who You Are:
- You have a bachelor's degree with 6 years experience or no degree with 10 years experience in employee benefits
- You have experience designing and administering 401(k), ESOP and Deferred Compensation Plans
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- You can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- You are proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- You preferably have a professional or industry certification (SHRM, CEBS, etc)
