The Role: Sr. Market Development Associate
The Team:
The FIG business line is our premiere deep sector data covering the financial institutions space, with rich coverage of banks, insurance companies, REITs and non-bank financial institutions. This is delivered through desktop, Excel, and Enterprise platforms (Web Services, API, Feeds, Cloud, 3rd party platforms) that are leveraged by a diverse client base to profile individual institutions, monitor the sector, craft strategy and drive investment into the space.
The team defines and executes market development strategies to spearhead FIG business growth and deliver value to our target markets by driving business targets, managing client relationships, monitoring market trends and tracking competition to accelerate penetration and adoption of the FIG offering.
The team is responsible for outlining and executing regional market development strategies in partnership with the Commercial and Marketing teams
The Impact:
This role will support the development of market strategy, go-to-market plans, business cases, and business intelligence reporting for the FIG business in the US, spanning all client segments from banks, insurance to capital markets. This is a client facing role with the ability to make an impact from day one. Furthermore, you can develop and refine product management skills overall and pro-actively shape the desktop and capability roadmap for our segment in the mid- to long run.

Responsibilities:
In this role the applicant will:
- Defining and executing on the GTM tactics that drives adoption and growth for FIG in the U.S.
- Work in collaboration with internal Market Intelligence divisions and teams -Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Customer Success, Client Migration, Content, Technology and other Market Development/Business Development teams on white space prospecting, retention and adoption, and user engagement
- Partner with other desktop & cross segment product managers to understand enhancements and how they fit into the wider communication strategy internally and externally
- Identify and analyze growth opportunities for the FIG product
- Be the voice of the market and our clients to drive platform adoption and inform the platform roadmap
- Understand client workflows and how the FIG serves their needs - where we are strong, where we have gaps, how we compare to the competition and articulate the value proposition of our products and solutions internally and externally
- Partner with Sales & Marketing, Education, Customer Success and Launch Management, to identify internal training and client engagement sessions that showcase relevant updates of new product releases
- Collaborate with Education team members and curate workflow-based demo scripts, training materials and powerful decks that speak to our value proposition and competitive advantages
- Attend, contribute and execute upon relevant virtual and in-person conferences / webinars to understand market dynamics, generating leads and drive adoption of our solution
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelors degree at accredited institution required. CFA, CPA, MBA are attractive qualifications as well.
- 5-7 years in financial institution sector as direct participant, investor, service provider preferred.
- Familiarity with Market Intelligence FIG or CIQ Pro as end user, service provider, alternative data & services provider.
- Strong understanding of Financial Institution sector - What is in this sector, its dynamics, and who cares about this sector. Primary focus is Banking and Insurance.

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $165,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
