About us: We are a national commercial construction subcontractor team specializing in window coverings, dedicated to providing employees opportunities to use and improve their skillset as a leader in the commercial construction industry and their personal life. As we continue to expand we are seeking salespeople with proven sales experience in commercial window coverings to join our team.
Position: Outside Sales/Estimating
Location : Texas. Primarily Austin and Houston with expansion options to DFW and San Antonio areas
Type: Salaried commissioned
Position Overview:
As an Outside Sales/Estimating Leader or Member, your focus is on winning contract awards. Both Leaders and Members will understand and be a practitioner of Extreme Ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Awards: Lead and manage all aspects of the sales cycle to ensure sales goals are met and lasting client relationships are built.
Team Leadership: Lead by example and mentor, fostering a decentralized and growth mindset work environment.
Self Management: Function and grow in a self-managed environment. Build trust with the team to cover for others and have others cover for you.
Quality over Quantity: Win awards based on a quality sales process that understands the needs of the project and client.
Client Relations: Maintain two way communication with clients to provide value, build upon and create new relationships.
Solution Driven: Proactively identify challenges and develop solutions to maintain forward progress.
Always be learning: Be involved in skill acquisition opportunities. Possible opportunities include weekly team discussions, attend events to learn with other leaders and completing challenging experiences.
Qualifications:
Commercial window covering scope award record of 3 years with annual award total above $3M. Average award is above 6 figures and awards below 6 figures are typically negotiated or sole submission with higher provide margin. Have had opportunities on some 7 figure scopes in the past 3 years. Projects with manual and motorized scope by Draper, Lutron and Legrand. Majority of awards are private non-public works projects. Have won awards based on your quality sales process, understanding the needs of the project and developed client relationships.
Or, a commercial window covering Project Manager that possesses the drive, discipline and intent to achieve the above.
Have an existing and growing network of quality connections in the industry
Confidence and belief that you can thrive in an environment with minimal management over your time and actions
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and installation of commercial window coverings.
Leadership skills with the humility to know we all must continue to learn and become better leaders.
Exceptional two-way communication skills; in written and verbal.
Proficiency with estimating and office software.
Have or want a growth mindset, the belief that skills can be developed through effort and learning from mistakes.
