Work Days and Expected Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)
Function: Learns the various operating procedures and policies of the Risk Management Division in preparation for a supervisory or professional level position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Becomes familiar with the functional areas of the Risk Management Division through job shadowing and performing tasks as assigned, including but not limited functions and processes related to:
- Appraisal – appraisal management for commercial, business banking, and special assets activities
- Compliance – development and maintenance of the bank’s compliance program
- Credit Risk Review – oversight of lending activities through monitoring and assessing the bank’s credit risk management practices
- Risk Management – enterprise risk management (ERM), regulatory risk management, vendor (third-party) risk management, model risk management, regulatory examination and application process, policy administration
- Security – managing and monitoring bank information, property and personnel, fraud, and anti-money laundering activities
- Assists with the division budgeting and expense review process
- Assists in managing the division’s adherence to the corporate training program
- Assists in the design, development, and implementation of new systems
- Utilizes computer equipment on a regular basis to research and analyze data
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance/updating of policies and procedures relating to assigned areas of responsibility
- Assists in information gathering for federal and state regulatory matters and creates related reports
- Monitors industry literature and regulations and relates external information to the operations of S&T Bank
- Creates internal and external presentations
- Participates in internal and external training workshops and other learning opportunities as scheduled
- Observes the various management styles of department heads and supervisors. Participates in supervisory problem solving and personnel issues as appropriate
- Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as all as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the division and in turn, the organization.
- Provides consistent, superior quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meet or exceed bank standards.
- Assumes additional duties as required.
Physical Demands
Operates a keypad device 80% of the day and operates office equipment 5% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, and legs. Standing is required 5% of the day, sitting is required 90% of the day, walking is required 5% of the day and is slow in speed.
