Security Officer - Temporary position

S3 Security is seeking full-time Dedicated Officers for a temporary (approx. 5 weeks) position in the St. Johns/St Augustine area. This Dedicated Officer position will be located at a private community pool and will perform access control for the amenity area. These officers must be capable of performing foot patrol duties and/or access control for the 90% of the shift.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

The job duties of a Dedicated Security Officer will include but are not limited to:

• Outside patrolling of pool area and grounds; Looking for disturbances, vandalism, trespassing, loitering and unwanted activity.
• Reporting on regular activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns
• Controlled access duties will include: Checking ID’s and personal property being brought onto the property.
• Protect a site (apartment complex, business mall, construction site, special events, etc.) in a fixed location by following the S3 protocol as outline in the S3 Security Standard Operating Procedures.
• Additional duties as required by the Site Post Orders
• A high level of customer interaction is required and customer service is a MUST.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Class D Security License
• Proof of ability to work in the United States
• Pass a multi-panel drug screening
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Be familiar with typing and computer use
• Be able to learn new computer software in an efficient and effective time frame
• Be able to perform moderate physical tasks
• Complete all appropriate training modules
• No criminal convictions as specified under S3 Policies and Procedures

PREFERRED APPLICANTS MAY INCLUDE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Criminal Justice Academy Graduate / College degree in Criminal Justice or a similar field
• Former/Current Law Enforcement Officer (includes military law enforcement)
• US Military Veteran
• Private Security background

Thursday – Sunday 1pm -9pm

Salary: $18.00 per hour
