Role : Administrative Assistant II-1295
Estimated Duration : 6 months
Location : Phoenix, AZ (hybrid)
Position Description
This position performs a variety of administrative work of considerable difficulty as required and deemed necessary to support Research and Analysis (R&A).
This position applies acquired detailed knowledge of the Department, Division, Administration and Agencies organization, policies and procedures, and day to day problem solving.
This position works independently and uses critical thinking with general instructions on a variety of projects while using word and data processing equipment and other automated office equipment.
Skills Required
Two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to the assignment and one year of the required experience;
Skills Preferred
Skilled in :
- Customer service practices and techniques.
- Gather and summarize data for reports.
- Compose / create / maintain varied spreadsheet reports and correspondence.
- Skill in keyboarding and the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Skill in use of Inter- / Intranet and telephone operation.
- Perform full range of administrative functions required by administrators in a responsible and confidential manner.
- Handle detailed work with accuracy and speed.
- Task and detailed oriented.
- Performing technical, complex and difficult administrative work using independent judgment.
Ability to :
- Manage a diverse range of administrative tasks simultaneously.
- Write and speak with clarity and effectiveness.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance as requested.
- Problem-solve various issues and execute appropriate independent judgment.
- Plan, organize, prioritize and coordinate activities across multiple assignments.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with staff and outside entities.
- Respond to internal and external customers with tact, diplomacy, accuracy, and appropriate and timely information.
- Schedule competing meetings / conferences with appropriate preparation and follow-up.
- Work in a fast paced environment with medium to little supervision.
Experience Preferred
