Job Posting for Vendor Manager at Sabre Industries
This is a 100% remote position and you can work from any part of the US!
Essential Duties:
Qualify new vendors through Avetta or other sources/means
Service providers - Tower crews, electricians, concrete placement, tower foundations, drillers, fencing etc.
Material suppliers – concrete, electrical material, minor materials/consumables etc.
Equipment suppliers – RF/optical test equipment, backhoes, track hoe, mini-ex, lease, rent or purchase
Other purchasing/leasing specific to SSS – laptops, monitors, software etc.
Qualify new vendors in terms of building lasting relationships to gain an in-depth understanding of their capabilities, crew resources or material delivery capabilities
Visit critical vendor facilities and meet with ownership to the fullest extent required
Significantly grow the SSS subcontractor base
Develop a volume rebate program for largest vendors/suppliers
Collaborate with Finance and Operations to execute Vendor commitments for Sabre funded work not performed by the Vendor
Execute MSAs with all major suppliers including service providers, material and equipment suppliers
Act as SSS POC for Vendor disputes to rectify and close all disputed vendor claims in collaboration with Sabre Legal, Finance and Operations when required
Collaborate with SSS AP, Operations and Finance to ensure Vendor deliverables are within contract terms and they are paid in alignment with contract terms
Collaborate with SSS Infrastructure Manager to negotiate the purchase of any assets or leased trucks, equipment and secure the best deal for Sabre
Work with various relevant suppliers to build lasting relationships and develop best pricing for Sabre
Collaborate with SSS Vendor Manager to ensure suppliers/vendors are qualified, offer best pricing and offer best warranty
Travel with overnight stays to SSS facilities or client/customer locations as required <5% travel
Consistently support all SSS and Sabre employees and subcontractors as required
Support Business Development efforts by developing required Vendor/Supplier cost estimates as required for upcoming projects
Develop, maintain, and distribute accurate Vendor funding reports including PO metrics, cycle times and other relevant metrics to ensure peak performance by SSS Vendor/Supplier base
Develop and distribute analytical reports based on information derived from data tracked
Participation in weekly deployment/personnel conference calls
Project a professional image to the customer and SSS co-workers
Daily communications with SSS functional organizations via phone or email to assure complete knowledge and take required actions to resolve issues
Assist SSS with special projects as requested by management
Additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow with constantly changing priorities
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside as needed
Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources
Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection for errors.
Position Requirements:
Associates degree in Supply Chain or Business Management or equivalent work experience
5 to 8 years of experience in telecommunications and/or construction projects related to Supply Chain Vendor sourcing management
Solid understanding of commercial telecommunications industry. Excellent proficiencies in MS Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Strong business acumen in sourcing best deals for Sabre.
Ability to multi-task and deal with numerous functional organizations and levels of Sabre Management.
