Job Description
As part of Sabre’s Travel Solutions (TS) accounting team, you will take on interesting and challenging responsibilities which include external financial reporting, monthly/quarterly close processes, establish and ensure compliance with procedures and policies, coordination of internal controls and other compliance initiatives for revenue and related processes, and support key projects that align organizational objectives across stakeholders such as business systems and Finance. Our TS Accounting team consists of 20 diverse, skilled team members with a wide range of experience, and you will report to the Senior Manager of TS Accounting.
Responsibilities of the Principal – TS Accounting include:
- Perform tasks to support the month-end close process and operate related controls for revenue recognition and underlying processes.
- Establish and maintain coordinated efforts with Finance to ensure alignment on forecast for revenue and bad debts.
- Assist in drafting financial statements, footnotes and other required disclosures for our quarterly and annual filings with the SEC
- Liaison with internal and external audit on SOX processes, key controls, timelines, etc. related to TS accounting GL and certain external reporting processes.
- Support business systems as part of a project to transition to SAP BRIM
- Assist with various special projects as needed for the TS GL team and the External Reporting team.
- Assist with certain month-end close journal entries and account reconciliations
Job Requirements
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required
Required Experience & Skills:
- At least six (6) years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with some experience at a publicly traded company
- Experience with conducting training and developing training programs.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills /ability to continually prioritize workload and respond to top priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Detail-oriented with both the ambition and willingness to dive into the details necessary to accomplish responsibilities and solve problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
