Your Mission
As a Senior Payroll Analyst at SADA, you are a motivated individual with a knack for numbers and a flair for details. You will direct and control payroll preparation, processing, and distribution– ensuring that existing policies and procedures are followed.
This is a critical role within our growing Finance team ( providing additional support to our People Operations team) that requires an exceptional performer. The successful candidate will be able to learn new processes quickly, adapt to ever-changing priorities, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively across multiple functions. This position reports directly to the Global Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities
- Process and administer US semi-monthly, and international payroll
- Process off-cycle and special payrolls, including manual checks, as needed
- Ensure all employees are paid timely and accurately, reviewing the correctness of all deductions, garnishments, and other special payroll deductions and earnings
- Manage timesheet submission and approval process and provide support to employees regarding timesheet questions or issues
- Track and audit pay changes each payroll cycle
- Journal entries and other accounting payroll-related tasks
- Partner with PeopleOps to track leave payments
- Assist the Global Payroll Manager to manage new and existing state tax accounts, quarterly tax filings, and respond to government agency inquiries, as needed
- Continuously improve all payroll processes
- Answer and clarify payroll-related employee questions
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties and assignments as needed
- Back up to the Payroll Analyst as needed

Expectations
Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date.
Job Requirements
Required Credentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience is required
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Payroll and data analysis experience and knowledge
- Understanding of overtime laws and regulations
- Previous experience within a control or audit environment
- Able to develop a professional payroll function that is scalable & flexible to meet the company's rapid growth
- Experience working with SOX compliance
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and ability to work under competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated ability to research, make recommendations, and act on changes to tax items and related policies
- Manage confidential/sensitive information, exhibiting professionalism and discretion needed
- Ability to react quickly and professionally in high-stress situations
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets
Useful Qualifications:
- US, Canadian, UK payroll experience
- Previous experience with Paylocity HRIS/Payroll
