The Group currently is active on six continents. We are currently looking to fill openings for Assemblers at our Wylie, TX location.

SUMMARY

Fits parts such as bolts, nuts, washers, pins, and bushings onto product by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. In each of the duties listed below the employee is expected to perform to the highest standards of quality, to strive for maximum customer satisfaction, and to continually look for ways to improve the methods, practices and procedures of this position. Represents the need to support our Quality Management Systems and Environment Management Systems.

Obtains parts and operations desired from work orders.

Assembles parts as indicated on work orders.

Positions parts in specified opening and screws, bolts, or hammers them in place.

Tests products for proper operation.

Records production.

Pushes button, depresses pedal, or pulls down on handles to activate machine.

Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.

Using SPC procedures, measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

Operates forklift as needed to move material and product.

Responsible for complying with all company policies, procedures, values, ethics, and rules.

Responsible for following all safety rules including, but not limited to, reporting all accidents to supervisor immediately and utilizing all proscribed safety equipment including personal protective equipment.

Supports quality and environmental and meets quality requirements specified for position. Meets quality requirements specified by production drawings, bills of materials, control plans, policies, work instructions, and procedures.

Participates in and/or completes appropriate training. As appropriate, submits documentation of specific training (i.e. course description, certificate).

Maintains complete security and confidentiality of all Company records and employee data.

Maintains a clean, orderly and professional work area.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required. A minimum of one year experience as a machine operator or assembler in a manufacturing environment required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
