Position Profile:
Provides operations functions in one or all of the following areas: operates duplicating equipment, performs associated copying tasks, scanning equipment, operate low to mid volume mail processing equipment. Ships and receives product and supplies, sorts, distributes and handles incoming and outgoing mail/faxes, as well as applies necessary postage. May also perform one of the following at entry level: bindery, Quality Control and final check, file services, call center representative, etc. This position reports directly to the Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager, depending on site personnel configuration.
Duties for the Mailroom Clerk will include the following:
- Open mail containers.
- Process & track incoming records & invoices.
- Process outgoing mail requests to provider facilities.
- Resolve issues related to mailed in provider requests and notifications.
- Monitor, forecast and track record activity.
- Verify records using tracking software. Separate, classify and assign appropriate identification information to each record prior to scanning.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Keep up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources and departments.
- Process approximately 100 records daily.
Education, Experience & Skills:
- One or more years above a high school level preferred.
- One or more years experience in customer service role.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; primarily excel and word.
- Accurate typing skills of 40 wpm.
- Good communication and social skills.
- Good skills in reading, writing and math computation.
- Able to perform duties under moderate pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Great communication skills.
- Prior Retail experience preferred.
- Related work experience, or work equivalent, preferred.
- Possess a valid drivers license.
- Able to work nights when needed and at least every other weekend.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
- Able to bend and stoop.
- Able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.
- Able to sit up to 3 hours at a time.
Experience and Requirements:
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify, understand, and interpret critical variables.
- Ability to compose concise, focus mailings with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in prospect research, development preferred.
- Experience in higher education, is preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to travel.
