Cheer Coach

Safari Sports Cheer coaches are responsible for instructing and training cheerleaders within our elementary division. Role includes teaching cheer chants, dance routines, stunts, jumps, as well as promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cheerleading training programs for different age groups
• Teach cheer routines, stunts, jumps, and cheers
• Provide guidance and support to cheerleaders during practices and performances
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes among the cheerleading squad
• Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper techniques and spotting during stunts
• Assist with cheerleading events and performances
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding practice schedules, events, and progress updates

Experience:

• Previous experience in coaching or cheerleading is Required with a Passion of Coaching Cheer.
• Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate skills to participants
• Strong leadership and organizational skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week

• Would you be willing to create and provide a cheer curriculum plan for our 9 week leagues based on how you would like for your cheer sessions to gradually enhance to show growth on how your students will learn under your leadership?
• Are you okay with 2-5 hours a week? Please note this is an opportunity to grow with our organization as we continue to expand ?
• Are you able to handle a cheer class as the only cheer coach or would your require/prefer assistance?
• What type of experience do you have in cheer? Stunts, Tumbling, Dance Routines Etc.?

• Cheer: 2 years (Required)
