What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guard position at Safe Harbor Marinas?
The Guard is responsible to protect property and personnel by patrolling the facility and acting as access control for visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain security of premises by conducting inside and outside patrols of the secure facility
- Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times
- Coordinate with police, fire and emergency medical personnel when necessary
- Provide customer service by making sure doors are secure and vehicles display proper permits
- Make sure any trespasses or crimes are reported to the local police authorities
- Complete daily activity log and monitor camera system
- Monitor areas for safety hazards including theft and vandalism
- Availability to work overtime when required
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Technical and Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous security experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property
- Must have a valid Drivers’ License
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
