POSITION SUMMARY : Controls inventories of raw materials and finished goods to ensure product availability meets customer demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Establishes and maintains inventory locations Assures reliable putaway of received and manufactured goods and materials in conjunction with the Receiving Clerk and Production personnel Conducts on-going partial audits (cycle counts)of physical inventory.
Leads annual physical inventory of materials, products, tools / equipment as needed.
Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
Communicates status of parts and materials using automated systems and manual reporting methods to insure parts availability.
Liquidates outdated stock and takes action to resolve out-of-stock situations.
Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy.
Develops cycle counting routines (weekly / monthly / annually) and drives continuous improvement activities to improve inventory record accuracy.
Identifies and solves problems or discrepancies of limited scope with parts and materials using established procedures or processes.
Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete activities to avoid schedule delays.
Assists on projects to analyze future needs and improve processes and procedures.
Other duties as business needs dictate Performance Metrics are Inventory Accuracy and Physical Inventory variance
