Role Description:
In the role of Claims Analyst, you will be part of the Insurance Compliance Department. Insurance Compliance is an essential team that oversees Safety National’s insurance compliance program and practices. You will work closely with third party Claims Administrators (TPAs), members of our internal Claims Department, other members of the Insurance Compliance Department, and various leaders throughout the organization. Your proactive and independent research, review, and analysis of claims-related statutory and regulatory changes will help keep Safety National compliant and protect our business standing and brand from harm.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Claims Analyst include researching, compiling and reporting on claims data and anti-fraud efforts. Responding to inquiries from regulatory agencies will also be required of you in this role. Analyzing trends resulting from regulatory actions and assisting in forming corrective action plans will be a key component of this position. Additionally, you may be assigned to various efforts such as, researching, establishing, communicating and maintaining regulatory guidance materials pertaining to claims compliance and claims adjuster and entity licensing matters.
The ideal candidate is someone with an insurance claims background who has an analytical mindset, fosters a collaborative team-centric environment, and seeks opportunities to innovate and implement efficiencies in their work. Some of the essential functions required of you in this role are to create and maintain business process documentation, maintain databases related to claims regulatory matters, and to review externally conducted state regulatory audits to assist with the development and monitoring of action plans geared to improvement of our regulatory compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.

Qualifications:
Required:
- 3 or more years of related experience
- Knowledge of federal and state statutes and regulations that govern the insurance industry
- Proven capability to perform resourceful and thorough research
- Demonstrate excellent analytical acumen, with attention for detail
- Ability to effectively present findings through various forms of communication, including written, verbal, and through presentations
Preferred:
- Experience in an insurance compliance role
- Prior experience managing insurance claims
- Prior professional experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Professional designations and/or certification such as, AIS, AINS, ACP, ARC, AIC, CPCU, Paralegal
- Prior experience providing cross-training and mentorship to less experienced team members
Education:
- A Bachelor's in a related field is preferred
