Seattle DivisionPage 1 of 22004Human ResourcesJOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Personal ShopperJOB DESCRIPTION:As a primary contact for Safeway customers, the Personal Shopper provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The Personal Shopper, with the use of a computer, is responsible for compiling online merchandise orders for customers. The Personal Shopper will process approximately 10 to 20 orders per day. Using a hand held computer and a printed list of items the Personal Shopper will retrieve items from the shelves to fill the on-line order, checking and bagging requested grocery items. Once the order is complete the Personal Shopper will return to the processing area for verification and to load the order on to the delivery truck. The personal shopper is responsible for accurate and timely assembly of customer’s online product orders from the store shelves to the delivery truck.JOB DUTIES:Safeway Personal Shopper employees are generally responsible for completing the following job duties: 1. Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.2. Operate hand held computer/scanning unit to check in item from the order, ensuring the merchandise matches the order.3. Ability to identify and locate items in a proficient manner within the three categories of the store (ambient, chilled, and frozen).4. Verify order for accuracy.5. Bag grocery items and place into bins.6. Push filled cart (12 items per bin or lesser larger items 6 bins per cart) to the back room area to be staged on to hand trucks.7. Push loaded hand truck to the delivery truck8. Load filled bins onto delivery truck9. Maintain cleanliness of sore and back room area.10. Other duties as assigned.JOB RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:1. Ability to follow company customer service procedures. Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience. 2. Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.3. Use of near vision to read labels, tags, process orders and check hand held computer screen. Hearing:To receive instructions and information from manager and other employees, to interact with customers. Pay: $14.04 - $17.32 per hour
