What are the responsibilities and job description for the EXPEDITER position at Safran Seats?
Essential Functions:
1. Move parts with factory using electric carts, forklift, hand truck, and cart.
2. Look for “lost” parts
3. Must be able to write shortage reports using computer
4. Must be able to count and distribute parts
5. Must receive and issue MOs and materials
6. Must be able to perform other duties as required
7. Employee is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s).
8. Performs safety related duties as assigned.
Types of Decisions:
Employee is responsible for determining if she/he has adequate information and materials to complete tasks as directed.
Selection of methods and sequences within limits of the specific jobs assigned.
Determines if in-coming and out-going parts are made to specifications.
Decisions/Problems referred to supervisor:
Problems with equipment or machinery.
Quality problems.
Conflicting priorities.
Incorrect documentation.
Training issues.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
One to three years of related experience required – equivalent education and background may be substituted for experience in some areas.
Requires a thorough understanding of shop practices and procedures.
Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses.
