Job Duties: This full-time, direct hire position is responsible for managing the legal affairs of one or several divisions within Safran Cabin. Duties include creating transactional documents, interpreting existing agreements, retaining and managing external counsel, and advising on legal and corporate matters for the legal entities within the assigned division(s), as well as providing legal support for functional assignments. This position reports directly to the General Counsel of Safran Cabin.
The position requires a J.D. or LL.M from an accredited law school, active license to practice law (U.S. State Bar membership), and a minimum of 10 years of legal experience with dispute resolution and litigation management, including drafting, negotiating and reviewing memoranda and settlement agreements, attending meetings, depositions and hearings, working alongside and managing outside counsel, and briefing and advising management in the scope of such disputes. 8 years of stated experience must include working within a legal department for a commercial aerospace company or equivalent industry, and must include: Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contractual and pre-contractual documents and amendments used in the aerospace industry for the purchase or supply of aeronautic products and services, including without limitation non-disclosure agreements, sales agreements (Buyer Furnished Equipment and Supplier Furnished Equipment), General Terms Agreements and Special Business Provisions, responses to requests for information/requests for proposal, government contracts as a prime contractor or subcontractor including FAR/DFAR terms and flow-downs, Supplier Support Conditions, Product Support and Assurance Agreements, authorized maintenance center agreements, licensing agreements and Supplemental License Agreements, qualification agreements, supply chain agreements, purchase order / invoice terms and conditions; and drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements that refer to applicable requirements of aviation and airworthiness authorities' (including FAA and EASA). 3 years of stated experience must include: Drafting, negotiating and reviewing key transaction documents for merger and acquisitions of aeronautic companies or business assets, such as asset purchase agreements and transition services agreements; and drafting, negotiating and reviewing joint venture agreements, assignment and novation agreements, intercompany or intragroup service level agreements. Stated experience must include providing at least a dozen legal and contracts trainings for the purchase or sale of aeronautics products and services, or similar products and services, to management, finance, purchasing, sales and customer support teams. Compensation including a base salary of $177,237 to $208,780. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as selected candidate's experience.
