What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager I position at SAFY?
SAFY is seeking a full-time Case Manager I for our Northern Kentucky division.
As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for the case management functions of a caseload of foster youth and respective foster homes in and around the Northern Kentucky area.

What You’ll Do
- Work independently and create your own schedule based on your caseload and availability of your assigned families.
- Provide in-home, direct services to families and children in your caseload. Generally, caseloads consist of 15-18 clients that you’ll see weekly.
- Create documentation for all services you provide in our Electronic Record System.
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule with the other team members. Generally, we're on call 1 week every 2 months.
- Develop and maintain consultative and liaison relationships with DCBS and other members of the youth’s treatment team (biological parents, school, etc.)
- Collaborate with outside parties including biological families, schools, courts, parents, hospitals, doctors, etc.
- Travel within NKY, Maysville and Lewis counties. Overall hours being worked outside of the office is estimated to be around 60%, which includes traveling to and from visits and time spent at the home conducting a home visit.
- Set your schedule in collaboration with the team. Generally, we work standard hours of around 9 am – 6pm, however there are times when you may need to work until 8pm or later, based on the needs of families on your caseload.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or other approved related field of human services
- Two years of relevant experience is required with above listed degrees, experience in child welfare preferred, OR relevant experience in working with children in general. Five years of relevant experience required with related field of human service degrees.
- License in state is preferred, though not required.

- Targeted hiring range: $37,000-$46,000
- Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education, and licensure of candidate, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
