Assistant Food Service Director ~ Campus Dining

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a Talented HANDS ON Assistant Food Service Director for a private
boarding school in Idyllwild, CA. The AFSD will develop strong relationships with the community, aid in general location management which will include FOH, catering events, BOH production, as well as office duties. We are developing a collaborative team and looking for an Assistant Manager who will dig in and engage with our community, assist our Director with day to day operations, in whatever way is required.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and develop client relationships.
• Assist in general location management as part of the SAGE management team.
• Assist in ordering and inventory management, scheduling, catering and production, as needed.
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
• Implement and maintain HACCP standards.
• Participate in the interviewing, hiring, training, and ongoing mentoring of the team.
• Lead by example.

What you'll need:

• Culinary degree preferred, but not required.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Fluency in sanitation and safety standards.
• Dynamic get-it-done work ethic.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to plan and organize with proficiency.
• Strong computer skills.
