Sagis Diagnostics is an entirely physician-led sub-specialty pathology group supported by a CAP-accredited histology lab located in the heart of Houston, Texas. Led by a team of board-certified pathologists, our lab is at the forefront of diagnostic science. We offer the highest quality services to physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals.
Sagis is seeking a highly skilled and engaged Senior Data Analyst who will own the Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics function inside the company. This role will own the buildout of operational dashboards, KPIs, transaction monitoring, and process improvement analyses that will be fundamental to the day-to-day management and growth of the business.
This will be a highly visible role, interacting daily with personnel across all the company’s functional areas. The position requires a candidate with a robust data analysis and BI background, a passion for building and improving processes, a high degree of curiosity, exceptional communication skills, and follow-through.
The ideal candidate will have a self-starter attitude with a high level of ownership, self-motivation, and accountability. The position could transition to a remote role after the first 12-18 months. Not guaranteed, depending on project activities.

Principal Job Duties:
Development and maintenance of operational dashboards and KPIs, including mapping data from internal and external systems and drafting requirements for enhancements to existing data sets.
Evaluation and selection of a BI platform that manages current and future data needs with minimal ongoing impact on laboratory resources.
Data-driven analysis of internal processes with actionable insights for improvement.
Ad hoc business and billing analysis requests
Proactively recommends product and process changes to improve operational processes and systems.
Requirements
Job Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
5 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics
Experience integrating and maintaining a BI platform (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
Background writing SQL queries and Excel/G Suite Macros
Experience with Scripting Languages such as JavaScript or Python
Experience with scripting for systems such as Airtable, Monday, Zoho CRM, and Analytics
Proficiency in MS Office, G Suite, and Slack
Experience working with bug tracking software
Excellent communication skills
Background in business consulting
