Directs, administers, and enforces all claims prevention policies and practices for the company. Analyzes risk factors, implements preventive measures, and collaborates with business partners to improve operational efficiencies.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manages all activities of the claims department to ensure the validity of claims and the extent of the company's liability.
- Establishes claims prevention policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Oversees actions involving claims against the organization for damaged freight or shortages.
- Develops and implements audit strategies, assesses internal controls, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
- Communicates audit findings and recommendations to address identified issues.
- Collaborates with business partners to identify and address potential risks and strategies to reduce claims.
- Examines claims forms and records to determine insurance coverage.
- Conducts comprehensive risk assessments to identify areas of vulnerability and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 8 years of management and claims prevention operation experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical tools.
