Description
SAIC is seeking a Program Security Officer (CPSO) located in El Segundo, California to support multiple programs/customers within the Security Organization.
Key duties and/or responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of security plans, reviewing applicable guidelines, and established procedures for all areas of security including Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical/Technical Security, Classification Management, Communication Security (COMSEC), and Program Security

Responsible for security management and operations: maintain a secure environment to facilitate the successful development and execution of classified programs at the assigned organization where classified information is stored, accessed, or where accessed personnel are assigned. Enforce strict adherence to applicable laws as well as national DoD, and other security policies and requirements

Primary function is to support the “day-to-day” Personnel Security (PERSEC) action in support of the facility and organization for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities

Maintain accountability of controlled documents and media to include active inventory lists, destruction receipts and transfer of documentation

Present Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) briefings

Investigate security incidents and violations; prepare reports of investigations for the corporation and customers, making specific recommendations for corrective and preventive actions
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years or more of related experience. Additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree

Active TS/SCI clearance and be either have or are willing to undergo polygraph examinations

Demonstrated knowledge of National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) / Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) with a focus on ICD 705 series, DoD 5205.07 series, Executive Orders, etc.

U.S. Citizenship Required

Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (MSWord, Excel, Power Point)

Experience utilizing customer databases such as DISS/JADE/SIMs
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
