Description
SAIC is seeking a Platform Cyber Engineer to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) services for a critical position the Landmark GSS program in Chantilly, VA.
Landmark GSS supports the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.
As a Platform Cyber Engineer, you provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) core and non-core support in the areas of Cyber Security and Management to improve the Information Assurance (IA) posture of the customer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assessing and completing Risk Management Framework (RMF) application, IA compliance measurements and metrics, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Vulnerability Management, and Cyber Defense support
- Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform
- Identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates
- Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision
- Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber Defense, coordinate, and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace
- Advise government personnel on compliance to standards and policies
- Recommend courses of action for incident response, as well as oversee design of enterprise systems to ensure alignment with local cybersecurity regulations
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Requires 10-12 years with BS/BA or 8-10 years with MS/MA or 5-7 with a PhD
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Poly
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in software defined networking principles and technologies
- Demonstrated experience providing security engineering support to capability migration from on-prem to cloud
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the NIST RMF
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in cybersecurity principles
- Demonstrated experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
