Security Specialist

Description

SAIC is seeking a Security Analyst to support the Air Force Agency Modeling and Simulation Program.  This is an onsite position based out of Orlando, FL  (No option for remote/telework)

Job Description:

• Develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
• Successful implementation and compliance with DoD Security Program policies and procedures including enhanced and local standardized operating procedures. 
• Ensure proper planning and coordination, maintaining situational awareness of all agency activities and visitors.
• Prepares guidance outlining regulations and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
• Conducts security education classes and security audits. Provide Security Threat and Incident Response support pertaining to classified information and personnel security. 
• Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Full knowledge of security practices, to include personnel, physical industrial, operations, communications, and information security. Performs assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives.
• Administers DoD policies, coordinate site visits and recommends changes to team policies.
• Develops solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity, following government policies, procedures, and practices.
• Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
• Represents organization as a point of contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior leadership and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and six (6) years or more of related experience; Master’s and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be a US Citizen and actively possess a Secret Clearance
