Description
SAIC is in need of a Deputy Program Manager to support a key fleet readiness program. This senior leadership position requires experience with working with uniformed and civilian government leadership, and multiple contractor project managers. This role allows telework options due to COVID-19. The candidate must be local to San Diego, CA.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage key aspects of the client relationship and responsible for achieving high levels of client satisfaction. Expected to successfully integrate with customer and other stakeholders as a value added contributor.
- Support identifying, clarifying, providing oversight, and reporting on customer requirements and initiatives. Focus will be on working with project managers to support the team’s implementation and execution.
- Oversee and support outcome-based results in the delivery of all CB-ISEA service areas
- Mentor leadership team and junior personnel
- Directing/Leading the planning, staffing, development, implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of projects to ensure technical, cost, schedule, financial performance, process improvement, and risk mitigation
- Support planning, forecasting and managing cost/revenue to achieve margin and profitability targets
- Proactively escalate risks and issues to program team, customers, and stakeholders
- Help to support BD/Contract functions and Operational projects within the program
- Writing past performance, reviewing task orders in Fusion, and BoEs
- Help to lead status calls and customer meetings
- Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with in a matrixed organization and multiple teaming partners
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree and 9 years of related program/project management experience - Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Secret Clearance
- Must have experience leading customer meetings with multiple stakeholders
- Must be comfortable working with Government stakeholders and briefing technical and programmatic status
Desired Skills:
- BD experience
- Experience helping a program grow
- PMP or DAU PM Certified
