SAIC is looking a Senior Logistics Analyst to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems.
- Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
- Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
- Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more of experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- Ability to provide one on one training to junior logisticians.
- Familiar with the assignment system Joint Electronics Type Designation Automated System(JETDAS) website: https://tdas7.apg.army.mil/JETDAS/
- Draft Technical Manual Changes to reflect upgrades, prepared Tech Manual Source Data Reports (TMSDRs) and Interim Action Change Requests (IRACs) for submission to the JDRS website.
- Draft and coordinate Technical Directives through all stakeholders until released on NATEC IAW NAVAIR 00-25-300.
- Review and provide Logistics input to the drawing revisions (should have basic knowledge of reading drawings).
- IMPORTANT: A thorough knowledge of the Naval Aviation Configuration Management process, (NACMED and Technical Directive Training).
- Potential travel to non-theater OCONUS locations.
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of/Access to the NATEC website.
- Knowledge of/Access to the Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) and have permissions to submit the TPDRs (DR Submitter Role).
- Familiar with the PEMA and how to access the Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) via the PEMA or the NATEC Website.
- Good technical writing skills and a basic knowledge of S1000D International Specification.
- iPDM, ASETDS, DECKPLATE, NAVSUP, Webflis and Haystack knowledge and experience preferred.
