SAIC is looking for an outstanding candidate to join our Defense & Civilian Sector in support of the Federal Aviation Administration Integrated Service Center (FAA ISC). SAIC leads the way to provide customer-centric IT Service Management (ITSM) focused on improving service while leveraging processes and strategies that emphasize timely IT services and support.
Leading the Technical Dispatch team, this position has operational oversite of a geologically dispersed technical team. In this role you have the responsibility of leading a team supporting onsite support of incidents and service requests that cannot be resolved remotely by the Service Center. This role is an opportunity to develop and demonstrate process knowledge and leadership skills, while playing an instrumental role in the success of the program. Travel will be required to meet with teams, customers or for special events.

Responsibilities:
- Single point of contact and responsible for leading a team of supervisors and technicians providing technical dispatch support at FAA facilities.
- Maintain oversight and provide technical management of all work in accordance with the performance work statement: ensure technical excellence and effectiveness in service delivery, while managing the timeliness and cost of all required work and deliverable artifacts.
- Develop processes and procedures to ensure dispatch effectiveness while working closely with the PMO, other Task Order managers, and the FAA.
- Develop and retain internal talent through coaching, mentorship, and development plans.
- Proactive in identifying complex issues that might impact Tech Dispatch operations and its service delivery.
Qualifications
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Technical understanding of IT Service Management, proficiency in supporting desktop, server, printer, and network equipment.
- Experience overseeing federal contract work with an understanding of contractual language and federal guidance.
- Program Management, Quality, or IT Certification(s)
Required Skills and Experience:
- A Master's degree and 10 years of experience is required. No experience substitutions for the degree are allowed.
- Experience managing a geographically dispersed workforce of at least 40 employees.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, be dependable, outgoing and positive with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance, citizenship required.
