SAIC is looking for a Test Engineer to support the Department of Defense in Indianapolis, IN.
Note: This position will be onsite 5 days a week at our Indianapolis location. US citizenship is required as you will be required to obtain a Secret clearance.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAIC is seeking a Test Engineer with expertise in the functionality, operation, and configuration of Department of Defense Systems to provide T&E support. This includes test planning and scheduling, test procedure development, test execution, troubleshooting, on-site test data collection, analysis, and generation of test reports including performance metrics, testing of new builds, and regression testing. In this role, the candidates will assist the program in ground test planning, coordination, and post mission activities, working closely with top program leadership and a variety of other agencies and stakeholders (i.e., service agencies, contractors, government national labs, industry partners, warfare centers). Candidates will help facilitate coordination and integration between DoD leadership and staff, their counterparts at Prime Contractor sites and other National Team sites, and advanced technology providers in support of T&E activities.

JOB DUTIES:
- Technical and administrative support to the LEA system.
- Help prepare test execution estimates for submission to Financial and Contracts team.
- Progress monitoring and reporting. Candidate will provide weekly status reporting to the Program Manager.
- Organization and participation in technical and readiness reviews, and technical working groups.
- Collaboration with all stakeholder groups to determine and communicate test requirements.
- Preparation and delivery of briefings for Test Coordination Working Groups.
- Collaboration with Integrated Product Teams.
- Support development of test documentation, plans and procedures.
- Support for post mission and test data analysis.
- Provide technical and engineering expertise, and coordinate with Government Lab operations, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure test event goals and requirements are met in accordance with required test documentation.
- Support installation, configuration, administration, modification, repair, operation, and removal of systems equipment on various infrastructures in support of test event execution.
- Support integration of systems under development into pre-existing baselines, test and evaluation of changes to mature systems, and regression tests on fielded baselines.
- Provide quality feedback to the Government that includes recommendations for improvements to the products under test and technical reports identifying risks associated with test conduct.
- Assist with data collection, analysis plans and troubleshooting outages during test events.
- Provide technical and engineering expertise, and will coordinate with Lab operations, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure test event goals and requirements are met in accordance with (IAW) required test documentation.
- Utilize performance test tools and/or automated test tools to support events.
- Provide hardware and software assembly, setup, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and network connectivity support for events.
- Participate in engineering meetings to include Build Readiness Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Event Readiness Reviews and Configuration Management Boards.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years' experience.
- Ability to work cross-organization coordination efforts and engage directly with senior DoD personnel and industry executives.
- Understanding of DoD Test & Evaluation process.
- Practical test engineering and development experience.
- Strong oral presentation and written communication skills. Candidate may need to lead high-level working group meetings and deliver briefings to top program leadership.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years DoD program test engineering experience.
- Active Secret clearance preferred
