What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomy Tech - PRN, Mixed Shift position at Saint Alphonsus Health System?
Our ideal candidate under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the phlebotomist performs the manual tasks involved with registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages. This person is responsible for utilizing relevant computer programs and performs data entry. This person serves as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests as well as maintaining quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and the reporting of results received.
Preferred Qualification:
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
