Saint Anselm College is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach/Fitness Center Coordinator. The successful candidate will report to the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and the Associate Director. The individual in this position is responsible for providing oversight of strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports teams and for the day-to-day operations of the Spagnuolo Fitness Center..
Strength & Conditioning functions will include development of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports teams. Collaborate with athletic training staff, medical staff, student-athletes, coaches, and administration regarding workout, flexibility and rehabilitation programs for all athletes. Provide guidance in areas such as sport performance and nutrition to student-athletes. In conjunction with head strength and conditioning coach, perform various administrative duties in regards to equipment maintenance, safety, supplies, record keeping and scheduling. Work with compliance and administration to ensure that all workouts are permissible within the NCAA guidelines.
Fitness Center Coordinator functions will include overseeing The Spagnuolo Fitness Center.
Coordinate with Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in regards to budgeting,purchasing, equipment replacement, equipment maintenance and daily procedures for Fitness Center. In addition coordinate student employment procedures related to hiring, recruiting, training, supervising, retaining, and promoting student employees. Coordinate with both student and custodial staff members to ensure a cleanliness plan.
Bachelors degree in a related field (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, etc.) required, Master's preferred; NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC Certification and/or having obtained the minimum of USAW Level 1 certification preferred. A minimum of one year's collegiate experience is preferred. Applicant must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified before beginning employment. Applicable certifications required (CSCS or CSCCA, CPR).
