Geisel Library at Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine Catholic tradition, seeks a part-time Circulation Desk Supervisor to join their team. Currently, a Friday evening shift is available from approximately 4:30pm to 11pm, during the spring and fall semesters, with the occasional option of other shifts if interested. Job duties
The Circulation Supervisor is responsible for supervising all Circulation Desk operations during assigned hours. This person performs a variety of duties including: assisting library users (students, faculty, staff, guests) with a variety of library needs; supervising student-assistants; monitoring building conditions and security; maintaining adherence to Circulation policies; working on special projects as assigned; completing daily shift reports; and closing/securing the library for the night. Additional hours may be possible throughout the year.

Ability to communicate effectively with college students and to supervise student workers
Ability to work autonomously and successfully with limited direct daily supervision
Strong office and computer skills and the ability to learn new procedures
Reliability in performing daily tasks/duties as assigned
Flexibility to assist in occasional coverage of other shifts
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Required Experience
Associates degree or 2 years of college plus 1 2 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working with automated library computer systems, preferably Innovative Interfaces
