Salary Range: $61,200 - $66,300
Schedule is based on the Recovery Support Center operating hours:
Center operates 7 days per week during the hours of 6:30am-3 pm. The Manager is expected to work primarily Monday through Friday but some flexibility on days and hours may be possible.
St. Francis House is looking for a Manager for the Room to Grow Recovery Support Center. This person will lead a key piece of our work as a comprehensive homeless services provider dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives.
Job Summary:
The Manager of the Recovery Support Center, Room to Grow, provides leadership, direction, and guidance on all aspects of the Center. The Manager ensures that the Center follows the required peer model and participatory process, reflecting the needs and vision of members and uplifting members to grow and strengthen their recovery. Supervising a small team of staff with lived experience in recovery, the Manager leads the Center with compassion, clarity, strength, and enthusiasm for multiple pathways of recovery. The Manager cultivates and maintains collaborative relationships inside the organization as well as with the external recovery community.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees implementation of all activities and operations, including staff support, member engagement, data collection, reporting, budget, staffing, and overall culture of recovery.
- Acts as enthusiastic champion of peer-based recovery services, ensuring that there are multiple ways for members to be engaged, form a community, and strengthen their recovery.
- Upholds the overall mission and framework for the Center. Ensures it meets required goals and contract expectations, including supporting multiple pathways of recovery and applying the peer participatory process.
- Applies a rich understanding of the diverse and sometimes complex needs of people experiencing homelessness while in recovery.
- Works closely and intentionally with SFH leadership, colleagues, and staff to ensure seamless co-existence in the SFH environment while retaining the autonomy of the RSC.
- Fosters and maintains relationships with local service providers through formal agreements and active participation in community outreach events.
- Seeks out ways to connect with other recovery support centers and other recovery-focused communities. Identifies best practices, discusses challenges, and shares ideas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent with documented training and/or certificates achieved in areas relevant to recovery coaching, peer support, substance use disorder and trauma-informed care
- Strongly Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field and/or Recovery Coach Certification (CARC). Recovery Coach Supervisor Certification a plus (will be required within first year).
- Lived experience with substance abuse disorder and with a sustained and stable recovery of at least 5 years.
- Minimum of five years of related work experience providing services to those affected by substance use and mental health disorders and homelessness.
- Minimum of three years progressive and successful experience managing a diverse team in a human service setting. Experience as a member or staff in a peer recovery support center a plus.
- Full fluency in English. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
