What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Developer position at Saint Francis Ministries?
Grant Development is a vital part of building and sustaining the work of Saint Francis Ministries. As we continue to serve children and families across the nation, it is imperative that Saint Francis has a strong grant development team that can secure funding from various opportunity types to support life-changing work with children and families. To fulfill Saint Francis' role as a steward of funds, a Grant Developer researches grand funding opportunities, provides oversight and guidance of pre and post award administration to all relevant parties, ensures compliance with funder terms and conditions, and upholds Saint Francis' policies and procedures. A Grant Developer is responsible for assisting in or performing each task necessary to assure completion of the grant and to identify areas where technical assistance is necessary. This position is eligible for remote work.
Essential Functions:
Perform research on areas of focus for Saint Francis to evaluate prospects for grants
Research grant makers and strategically prioritize who, when & how to apply for grants
Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to help prepare, write, and submit grant proposals
Assist in researching current relevant data for the proposal
Coordinate with specific department heads on projects relating to them to obtain necessary information for proposals and applications
Help program Grant Lead to comply with all grant requirements by funders
Perform quarterly check-ins with program Grant Lead to ensure proper grant management
Work with finance to gather information necessary to write solid grant budgets
Provide stewardship to current funders, including checking proposal status, providing regular written updates and thank- you letters or emails
Track proposals submissions, awards, expenditures
Understand Saint Francis Ministries' institutional history, programs, goals and areas of focus
Maintain current records in database, including tracking and reporting grants and prospects
Track statistical & SFM demographic information relevant to grant development
Adhere to all pertinent Saint Francis SOPs, rules, policies and procedures; by accepted accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, regulations, and statutes.
Ensure clients’ rights are protected
Report unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management and safety protocol
Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures
Education
Preferred- Bachelors of Arts or better in Other
