What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Saint Joseph Tower Assisted Living Community?
St. Joseph Tower is looking for a Full Time Administrative Assistant to join our team!
Principal duties and responsibilities:
1. Answers phone for facility and directs calls, as appropriate.
2. Greets visitors to facility, answers questions, and directs visitors to resident’s apartments.
3. Interacts with facility residents, answers resident questions and requests, such as making copies, sending and receiving faxes, supplying postage stamps, etc.
4. In conjunction with Business Office Manager, assists in managing New Employee Status Report, New Resident information, occupancy report, resident care level reports, etc.
5. May participate in new employee orientation, record keeping, recording of information in employee files.
6. Distributes facility mail; may sort and deliver mail to Assisted Living residents.
7. Prepares all correspondence and forms needed by facility.
8. Orders office supplies as needed.
9. Scheduling Drs. Appointments and transportation
10. Other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities:
1. Ability to read, write and do calculations in order to write checks, balance statements, prepare reports, etc. typically acquired through completion of high school
2. Ability to greet and direct visitors, perform office procedures, use facility’s computer system, etc. as typically acquired through completion of one year of related work experience.
3. Interpersonal skills necessary to greet visitors, direct phone calls, answer questions of residents, etc.
4. Attention to detail for up to 75% of work time when entering data, creating reports, ordering supplies, etc.
5. Ability to sit for up to 80% of work time when completing reports, entering financial information into computer, answering phone, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
