St. Norbert College, a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking an Associate Director of Admissions. This position is responsible for strategically designing, organizing and implementing the plan for regional recruitment for the institution in the Chicago market. The Associate Director of Admissions will admit students based on credentials and determine eligibility of any institutional scholarship. This position is also responsible for relationship building within the regional area with students, families, counselors, and organizations. Specific responsibilities: Implement regional recruitment plan for Chicago Area. - 10% Travel within territory for recruitment purposes. - 20% Follow-up with all prospects, inquiries, applicants and accepted students and their families. - 25% Represent the college at regional college fairs, high schools, and conferences. - 10% Create regional off campus activities to help engage students and their families. - 10% Determine admissibility and scholarship eligibility for applicants. - 5% Attend on campus admission and divisional events, attend on campus programs, meet with students and families during busy visit days and weeks on campus. - 10% Work directly with the Executive Director of Enrollment and Marketing on Admission related events. - 10% Perform additional duties as assigned and attend College required training. Regular attendance is required. Work in a manner that is aware of personal safety and the safety of others and observes safety, health and sanitation codes, regulations, or practices required by the College or governmental authority. Supervision Exercised Over: None Required Minimum Qualifications: Education - Bachelor’s Degree Experience and Credentials - 3 years experience in admission or related sales work. Valid Driver’s License. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse campus environment or commitment to do so as an employee of St. Norbert College. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Ability to be a self starter and be able to work well on their own. Ability to handle technology to connect with the office, students, high schools and families. Ability to travel away from home for periods of time to visit territory and attend on campus events is a must. Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and customers, particularly in conflict situations. Ability to talk politely and resolve customer service issues. Ability to multitask, meet specific deadlines, and prioritize tasks and assignments. Skilled in basic math computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Apps) and ability to learn upgrades and new programs as needed. Ability to exercise good judgement and decisions in an expeditious manner. Skilled at setting a good example for others. Skilled at organizing events, programs, projects and see them through to completion. Skilled at making presentations to large (>100) groups of people. Equipment Used: Computer, laptop, phone, audio/visual equipment, vehicle for travel, banners and promotional materials. Working Conditions: Generally an office position working Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm working on and off campus with travel, nights, and weekends required (10 - 15 weeks annually).
