What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Saint Therese?
Be part of the Saint Therese difference! We are seeking Maintenance Technicians (Full-time and Part-Time) at one of Minnesota's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers. This position is responsible for maintaining and makes repairs to the facility and equipment in a timely manner. Assists with coordination of maintenance requests and assists Plant Director with preventive maintenance. Responsible for painting and repairs to rooms and/or apartments to prepare for incoming residents.
Positions Available include:
- 7:00am - 3:30pm Full-time (80 hours per pay period), this position is required to work one weekend per month.
- 7:00am - 3:30pm Part-Time (32 hours per pay period), this position will be required to work one weekend per month.

Responsibilities: Completes day-to-day janitorial duties in the common areas of the campus as well as floor care (carpeting, etc.), back-up for Housekeeping. Maintains and makes repairs to the facility and equipment in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED desired. Vocational training in related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum one year related experience in a commercial building or health care environment preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems and carpentry skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision and exercise judgment
- Ability to learn quickly and handle a variety of related or unrelated jobs
- Ability to perform manual labor
- Ability to read, write and speak using the English language
