The Job
Our office in Evansville, Indiana is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our growing team. In this position, you will work in a collaborative team environment helping project managers and project teams for our wide variety of clients. This role is intended to be a developmental role leading to a potential future Project Manager role. You will report to a Discipline Manager that will lead the coordination of your development. This is an in-office position with a flexible work schedule to support normal office hours of 7:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Essential Job Functions and Primary Responsibilities
- Perform standard/typical assignments applying project management principles under the direction of a project manager
- Exhibit a high standard of professionalism and client focus.
- Seek opportunities to perform more complex, professional assignments.
- Monitor, update and evaluate the status of the project schedules, cost estimates, and procurement items of assigned projects and communicate status to the Project Managers and project teams.
- Develop standards and document work processes and procedures for typical project tasks.
- Perform procurement, expediting, and tracking activities based on project requirements.
- Attend project meetings, including project team, owner, and subcontractor meetings, sometimes as our representative
- Maintain and issue meeting minutes for client communications and reporting.
- Perform some work at our client’s sites working around heavy industrial equipment, systems, and conditions accompanied by an experienced technical lead.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the client’s project team, our in-house team, our vendors, sub-consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with office and client project standards.
- Develop an understanding of various contract formats including our contractual obligations and the owner’s obligations to support the management of any potential commercial risk to the parties.
- Assist in the development of project risk assessments and risk mitigation plans
- Help manage and verify that we deliver a quality product to our clients and that our deliverables meet our quality standards.
- Able to work in an environment requiring frequent sitting (often working on a computer) as well as frequent driving, flying, walking, stair or ladder climbing, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Work closely with Project Managers on special ad hoc assignments required to meet the client’s project requirements.
