This is a great opportunity for a driven PM Tech with a "can do"attitude. This person will be responsible of repairs on trucks, trailers and other vehicles. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
1: M-F PM Tech, Hours are 3:30pm – 12:00am
Responsibilities:
- Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
- Repair, reline, replace and adjust brakes
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined and other potentially troublesome areas
- Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals and experience
- Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups
- Repair manual and automatic transmissions
- Replace and adjust headlights
- Complies with all safety, DOT and OSHA guidelines
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.
- Must have own hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- CDL license preferred
- Good driving record and proven work history
- Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures
