Your Role With Us :
As the Community Relations Liaison for the Salem Health Community Outreach team you will assist Salem Health in building community leader knowledge about the business of health care, the challenges we face, and the goals of our organization.
You will represent the organization in the community and actively create and foster relationships that will lead toward fulfillment of our mission statement.
The ideal candidate : 1.Understands and contributes to the management of the appropriate Community Relations budgets. 2.
Works with the community health education center and other departments as directed to coordinate community facing events such as grand openings, open houses, health fairs, community forums, etc.
3. Collaborates with Marketing to assure consistent brand, messaging and support of strategic marketing plans. Drives content creation for community messaging working in partnership with Marketing.
4. Collects and compiles data to support organizational support of community health needs assessment, health improvement and community benefit.

Background / Expertise :
- Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or closely related field required.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in community relations required; five (5) years and experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
- Prior hospital or health care experience preferred.
- Prior work experience incorporating public relations and communications skills required.
