Contracts Paralegal

Salem Media Group offers an exceptional opportunity for a Contracts Paralegal for our busy legal department in our beautiful Camarillo, CA location.

Primary Responsibilities:

This individual would be responsible for:

• Review and maintain company contracts and subcontracts.
• Responsible for generating, tracking, and exercising contracts with vendors, landlords, and customers.
• Assisting with negotiating, preparing, drafting, proofing, and summarizing a variety of documents and agreements, including, but not limited to, licensing, events, production and talent.
• Reviewing, redrafting and redlining agreements, memoranda and other documents.
• Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy and discretion, as well as a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Create required changes, ensuring compliance with company requirements.

Experience Required:

• Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
• BA/BS preferred.
• 2 years corporate legal / executive experience
• Proficiency with contract management processes and databases
• Expertise with Microsoft suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to exercise judgment to appropriately discern when to escalate issues.
• Capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines within a challenging, fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must work well in a team environment.
• Ability to organize and disseminate information efficiently.
• Ability to multi-task and strong time management skills, prioritization abilities, and ability to execute.
• Ability to simultaneously manage and support multiple lawyers, client groups, legal processes and forms of documentation.
• Ownership of issues and tasks.
• Must be a team player and self-starter.
