Messina Group seeks a Sales Representative

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand market trends and the competitive environment in market segments.
  • Negotiate and execute confidentiality agreements at target accounts.
  • Conduct meetings at existing and new accounts to promote products and services and identify new opportunities.
  • Qualify and prioritize opportunities with the support of the Head of Sales  
  • Prepare offers and project proposals in conjunction with the Head of Sales and internal resources.
  • Manage entries of new opportunities and projects for the sales team in CRM.
  • Meet sales targets and growth targets at assigned accounts
  • Collect and communicate to key stakeholders key market information
  • Participation in conferences, tradeshows, US team, and global sales team meetings as required

  • Schedule:  8am-5pm
  • Location:  Des Plaines/Hybrid
Position Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Life Sciences or Business preferred)
  • 2 years of account management experience in customer service or sales
  • Some experience in the pharmaceutical industry in customer service, technical service, or sales
  • Experience with pharmaceutical excipients or selling services like a CDMO would be a plus
  • Negotiating experience
  • Project Management experience
  • CRM experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel up 25%
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Customer Focused
  • Strong Math Skills
  • Excellent computer skills including (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
