As the Director for Product Operations, you will have overall execution responsibility for the planning and operational rhythm of our Security Programs. Y ou will play a key role in defining, delivering, operating, and evolving Product Development team’s operational practices – including strategic planning, budgeting, agile practices and agile operations. Ensuring the continued development and evolution of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and tools is a critical part of this role.
The successful candidate will coordinate a group of interrelated initiatives and teams into a cohesive model that ensures funding is in place and progress is being made toward achieving strategic outcomes. The ability to bring disparate models and teams across the enterprise to ensure a low friction model that enables strategic business outcomes, increases collaboration, improves visibility, and decreases risks is critical.
Responsibilities
- Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully complete the strategy through collaboration and agile leadership
- Develop long-term strategic vision for product engineering operations – how we run the development organization, planning process, agile practices, and product development role definitions
- Develop positive relationships with key technology, functional leaders and stakeholders to drive focus on the strategic program objectives and optimize program delivery. This includes supporting and holding resources accountable for their responsibilities within the program
- Apply internal tools and agile approach that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation and continuous improvement
- Continuous focus on developing software based solutions or using automation to replace repeatable, operational tasks
- Developing and leading regular ‘rhythm of the business’ calendar, including regular review of projects and progress against goals
- Scale key activities around data management, analytics, and reporting across our integrated planning processes for developing our long-range plans, quarterly business reviews, annual V2MOM and budgeting processes with a focus on key decisions to be made about product investments and architectural decisions
- Drive analysis and recommendations to help build scalable processes for managing against our budget targets and gaining insight into how we invest our dollars across the portfolio
- Work with Finance, recruiting, and planning business communities to ensure excellence in all operational and fiscal activities including staffing levels, budgets, and planning
Requirements
- 10 years of experience working cross-functionally, specifically with Engineering as a product owner. Understands keenly the challenges in headcount management, recruiting & planning for a product organization. Works seamlessly in a matrixed environment to drive planning and execution of a technical roadmap
- Experience with Portfolio Management, specifically with building and driving processes around prioritization of proposed investments
- Very strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse team members and external parties. Strives for healthy collaboration
- Ability to distill large volumes of information into consumable 'portions' that allow for nimble decision making
- Ability to lead all aspects of a variety of projects/programs simultaneously
- Proven experience in fast-paced and high pressured work environment
- Proven ability to iterate, focus on what is most important and continually improve
- Familiarity with SaaS business and operating models
- Bachelor’s degree from 4 year college or university
