What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Saltwater Fishery, LLC?
Line Cook; Team member responsible for food preparation and production in the various departments within the kitchen; Sautee, Fry, Grill, etc.
JOB SUMMARY: Line Cook; This team member is responsible for food preparation and production. Line cooks are responsible for controlling food quality and safety and delivering dishes that meet customer satisfaction objectives. This position is also responsible for the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Line Cook;
? Quality food preparation and production
? Follow Food safety regulations
? Deliver food dishes to the expediter for assembly
? Maintain proper temperature controls with all food products
? Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
? Working with expediter and other line cooks to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
? Cleaning the kitchen stations and equipment
? Following temperature guides on all cooked meat and seafood
? Handling and storing food products correctly and according to health code standards
? Working with a Kitchen Display Screen to read, organize, time, and produce food orders
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
? Servsafe is preferred but not required
? At least 1 year experience working in a kitchen
? Be able to demonstrate proper food handling safety procedures
? Knife skills
? Experience on sautee, grill, flat top, or with deep fryers
