Hospice CHHA - Riverside/Corona

Salus Hospice has employment opportunities for Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) who will provide care to patients with end-of-life needs by performing bathing, hygiene, and personal care. The successful candidates will be a CHHA with end of life experience and a CHHA certification, also experience working in a facility atmosphere, such as Assisted Living.   We have Per Diem opportunities in the Corona to West Riverside areas!Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) responsibilities: Performing personal care needs after given a patient's assignmentMeeting safety needs of patient using equipment safely and properlyGiving personal care, including bathing, shampoos, incontinence care, changing linens as often as assigned.Assisting with patient activities of daily living as assigned.Providing proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence.Reporting on patient's condition and changes in condition to the RN Case Manager. Communication with the Interdisciplinary Team when appropriate.Assisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the RN or Therapist.Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) qualifications: Meets the training requirements of the State for CHHA.At least 18 years of age.Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.Understand the hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.Computer documentation skills required Prior hospice experience preferredValid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation to patient homes in North San Diego County areaPlease apply today! *COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements:As a leading healthcare provider, we have an undeniable responsibility to protect the health and safety of our patients, clients, and team members. Salus Home Health requires that all employees be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus (Both primary vaccines and Booster). Salary : $19 - $22
