Responsibilities
Our nationwide traffic and transportation engineering team is continually growing, and we are currently seeking an experienced, creative, and detail-oriented Senior Transportation Engineer who is eager to work on a wide variety of transportation projects including traffic impact analysis, traffic simulation/modeling, neighborhood transportation and parking studies, multimodal planning and analyses, complete streets design, traffic management plans, and safety studies. The successful candidate will lead projects and tasks from initiation to completion, train junior staff, and contribute to business development and marketing activities such as writing proposals and attending industry events.
Preference will be given to candidates interested in our Los Angeles, Tampa, Jersey City, and Philadelphia offices, but any office location will be considered. Our other office locations include New York City, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Oakland, CA.
Qualifications
The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with staff across multiple offices, manage priorities, think creatively, and meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or transportation engineering
- 5-12 years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning
- Registered professional engineer (PE) in any state
- High proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, and/or Vissim
- Expert user of Excel
- Experience in project management and interacting with clients
- Ability to commute to the office at least three days per week
- Authorization to work in the US

Sam Schwartz is committed to Pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range for this position $90,000 - $165,000 annually.
