About the job:

The Director, Demand Generation will lead a team in charge of the strategy, execution, reporting, and optimization of all paid media, email marketing, marketing automation, and customer journeys to achieve our business and marketing objectives. This person brings a strategic orientation to demand generation and can design integrated programs that map to buyer pain points and which also consider market and competitive forces. He/she has strong capabilities in marketing campaign planning, content strategy, storytelling, and managing/evaluating creative product to support demand generation efforts.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Partner enthusiastically with stakeholders in product marketing, sales, client success, and other groups and use this partnership to design high-impact programs and drive effective collaboration.
  • Leverage strong relationships across Sama to uncover innovative, breakthrough opportunities to address prospects and clients.
  • Operational efficiency is a must, with clear understanding of demand generation metrics, marketing automation program execution, and campaign reporting.
  • Leverage ABM, Agile Marketing, and other proven sales and marketing leadership principles.
  • Deliver qualified leads and conversions through owned, paid media, and social channels.
  • Optimize lead generation and sales conversion efforts in order to improve performance throughout the customer journey as measured by qualified lead/conversion volume, cost-per-lead/conversion or other relevant metrics.
  •  Manage the placement of all paid media to ensure optimal performance within given budget allocations.
  • Collaborate with web and creative resources/agencies to develop high-impact assets.
  • Evaluate Martech solutions to identify the correct mix of marketing technology based on business needs and budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years’ progressive experience in demand generation, marketing operations and customer retention roles; with 5 years in digital demand generation.
  • Proven experience developing, managing, and delivering successful, integrated B2B demand generation campaigns from conception through implementation, measurement, and analysis.
  •  Proven experience of managing, leading and developing a team.
  • Deep experience in outbound demand generation including paid search, content syndication, podcasts, email marketing, landing page optimization, social media, and webinars.
  • Power user of Salesforce CRM and marketing automation (Hubspot, etc) with a passion for technologies that increase lead engagement and conversion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with marketing dashboard/report development, delivery, and analysis including leveraging data from multiple sources.
  • Proven communication and presentation skills in front of executive-level audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience collaborating with sales, sales ops, finance, business operations, and all marketing functions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
