• BLS & PALS Required. PEARS (AHA Pediatric Advanced Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization) certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire and renewed every 2 years.

Pay: starting at $36.64/hr-$68.37/hr

Shift/Hours:

• Day shift – 7:00am-7:30pm
• Night shift - 7:00pm-7:30am

Holiday/Weekend Requirement:

• Weekends: every other weekend
• Holidays: rotates

Responsibilities:

• Study patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
• Track routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.
• Monitor, interpret, and record data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.
• Administer medication and perform treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists.
• Maintain and update ward charts, patient files, and medical records.
• Monitor patients via remote electronic signals and respond to any changes in cardiac rhythm.

About the Unit:

• Patient population: General Population, Occasional Low Acuity Pediatric Patients, Withdrawal, Nursing Home Patients
• Number of beds: 25 (Can go up to 27)
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 Tele/Pediatric/Specialty, 1:5 M/S
• Common diagnoses: Appendix, Gallbladder, Small Bowel Obstruction, COPD, CHF, Encephalopathy, Sepsis Step Down, Gangrene in the Winter, Wound Vacs
