What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR Tech (Scrub Tech) On-call position at Samaritan Hospital?
We are seeking an OR/Scrub Technician for our Samaritan Healthcare community in sunny, Moses Lake, Washington! As an OR/Scrub Technician you are responsible for performing the functions of an Operating Room Technician in collaboration with the Operating Room Registered Nurse. The OR/Scrub Technician is responsible for adhering to AORN Standards of Practice, for managing supplies and equipment with the direction of Operating Room Registered Nurse and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Operating Room Technician certification preferred and anatomy physiology knowledge required.
This is an on-call position. Must be available for variable shifts; with the typical shift being 6:45a-3:15p.
Which Qualifications Do You Need?
- Graduate of a basic Operating Room Technician Program required.
- One-year general surgical experience preferred if not certified and or a graduate of an approved program.
- Minimum of one-year experience in General Surgery preferred.
- Certified Surgical Technician preferred (CST).
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.

The OR Tech works closely with staff members and physicians in order to promote optimal care for the surgical patient. This position reports to the Perioperative Services Director.
